In the early stages of any catarrhal condition it is wise to eliminate foods and substances linked to excess
mucus production like dairy products, yeast, wheat, and eggs. Also remove alcohol, coffee, tea, spicy foods, salt,
junk food, excess sugar and obviously tobacco.

Herbal Remedies for Catarrh
Herbal remedies for catarrh include Eyebright to soothe and heal mucus membranes and Elder to strengthen them.
Peppermint, Eyebright and Elder can also be used as a decongestant. Cinnamon and Yarrow can be used to dry up
catarrh whilst Marsh Mallow can be used for its expectorant properties. Vitamin A can be taken to help dry
excessive mucus.
